Wciągającym rezultatem jest The Elephant Sleeps But Still Remembers, czwarty album i drugi projekt "Art of the Duo" od raczkującej wytwórni artystycznej DeJohnette'a, Golden Beams. DeJohnette i Frisell po raz pierwszy pracowali razem nad albumem Dona Byrona Romance with the Unseen z 1999 roku.
