Został nagrany podczas europejskiej części trasy koncertowej promującej album Denim and Leather i wydany w 1982 roku. Album osiągnął 5. miejsce na brytyjskich listach przebojów. Utwór zdobył nagrodę British Heavy Metal Live 1982.

Dokładnie 21 maja 1979 roku zaczęła się droga brytyjskiej grupy Saxon do nieśmiertelnej sławy i statusu legendy klasycznego heavy metalu i nurtu New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.
Tego dnia miał premierę imienny debiut kapeli od ponad 40 lat dowodzonej przez charyzmatycznego frontmana Biffa Byforda. Słychać było jeszcze na nim echa glam rocka i rocka progresywnego, lecz były też soczyste, metalowe riffy i świetne melodie, z których Saxon słynie.
"Saxon" ukazuje się ponownie w wersji zremasterowanej na winylu. Do oryginalnej listy utworów dodano utwory demo z czasów, gdy kapela nazywała się jeszcze Son Of A Bitch, piosenki z sesji dla radia BBC i nagrania koncertowe z pierwszej edycji festiwalu Monsters Of Rock.

Dogs Of War to dwunasty album studyjny heavymetalowego zespołu Saxon, wydany w 1995 roku. Ten album oznaczał okres zmian dla Saxon, zarówno pod względem brzmienia, jak i składu.
Dzięki albumom z początku lat 90., takim jak Solid Ball Of Rock i Forever Free , Saxon przekonał wielu sceptyków, że nadal mają do zaoferowania mnóstwo dobrego heavy metalu, a po trzyletniej przerwie w nagrywaniu zespół powrócił do chwały z potężnie brzmiącym Dogs Of War . Po przejściu grzmiącego tytułowego utworu otwierającego, Dogs Of War dostarczyli mnóstwo nieprawdopodobnie zapadających w pamięć i charakterystycznych numerów, w tym „Big Twin Rolling (Coming Home)”, „The Great White Buffalo” i „Demolition Alley”. Był to również ostatni album z wieloletnim gitarzystą Grahamem Oliverem jako członkiem klasycznej formacji, który odszedł wkrótce po wydaniu albumu.

Tytuł jest inspirowany Ryszardem Lwie Serce, królem Anglii z XII wieku. „Beyond the Grave” został wydany jako singiel z uzupełniającym wideo. Lionheart to czysty album heavymetalowy — Saxon, którego starzy wyjadacze znają i kochają. Takie wyróżniające się utwory jak otwierający album „Witchfinder General” i „Man and Machine” nie brzmiałyby nie na miejscu na takich wcześniejszych klasykach jak Denim & Leather i Power & the Glory.
